5 Tips for Dressing Confidently

Getting dressed each day can be a daunting task - and perhaps you find yourself desiring to dress a certain way, but lack the confidence to just go for it. Or, perhaps you wish you felt better in the clothes you wear, but your closet feels uninspired and not quite right. Here are five tips + ways you can ensure that your style adds to your overall confidence each and every day!

1. Know your body. Know what makes you feel confident, what flatters you, and what you love. Don’t feel like you have to wear something because everyone else is wearing it.

2. Wear things that FIT. If something is too short, tight, long, or otherwise I’ll-fitting, you’ll likely find yourself fidgeting all day. It’s better to get an item tailored, or donate something that doesn’t fit you properly than trying to make something uncomfortable work for you.

3. Tell your story. Make sure the way you dress represents you and reflects your own personal style and brand.

4. Play up your best features! If you think your waist is your most flattering part but want to draw less attention to your hips, try wearing a dress that is tailored at the waist and flows from there. If you know that greens compliment your eyes, opt for those palettes.

5. Do it for you. Remember why you are doing it. Personally, I dress for myself and what I love. I don’t dress for other people, or their approval. Nothing boosts confidence more than knowing YOU are dressing and expressing yourself — and your own unique style!
