Spring/Summer Transitional Wardrobe Must-Haves
I don’t know about you, but I have been excited about spring since after Christmas time! Once Christmas is over, I get pretty tired of winter. If the weather where you live is anything like Texas, it’s warm and sunny in the afternoons, but mornings can be a bit chilly - and some days, it’s rainy and cool! Dressing for these in between seasons can be a challenge, but today I wanted to share ten essential items in my wardrobe that help bridge the gap between these seasons.
Carly Jean LA cardigan. This company is new to me, but they embody all things capsule wardrobe and boho, simple pieces. I love this shop! And this cardigan - y’all it’s amazing and I wear it all the time!
Layering tanks. These tanks are my absolute favorite. They are my favorite cut and fit, and so affordable!
Green quilted jacket. This jacket is actually a year-round staple for me, but I love it for spring because I am ALWAYS cold, especially if we are eating outdoors at a restaurant, going for a walk, etc. The green color is perfect for spring, too! You might have something similar in your closet, such as a green utility jacket or vest, which would work too!
Denim jacket. Another year-round staple, but I think the denim jacket shines in spring. Layer it over your spring blouses or dresses for some added warmth in the cool mornings - I’m always toting a denim jacket with me when I’m out and about this time of year.
Sneakers. Sneakers are great for this time, I especially love them worn with a dress! They keep your feet warmer in case it’s not quite sandal season yet.
Denim kimono. Similar to a denim jacket, this is a great layering piece, but adds a bit of a different look. I love my denim kimono and always break it out over graphic tees, layered tanks, or even dresses this time of year!
Linen blouse. Linen is a big part of my wardrobe - even year-round, but especially in these months. This linen blouse is my favorite, and is great as a blouse with jeans or shorts, or worn open as if it were a kimono or light layer.
Dresses. Dresses are a must for me in any season, but especially in these months. Add one of the layers I mentioned above, and you have an easy look!
Raffia headband. This headband is a must when it comes to accessories. It is a great way to add a touch of spring to any outfit, even jeans and a sweater - so it feels like spring, even if the weather is cooperating!
Mules. These shoes are a go-to of mine for spring, and have been on major rotation in the past few weeks. I enjoy that they are a warm-weather material and add texture to an outfit, but they are still closed-toe if its a bit cool out.
